It's Scotland's own approach to cladding safety. A Single Building Assessment (SBA) looks at the whole building's fire safety – external walls, internal fire protection, escape routes and compartmentation – not just the cladding. It's carried out by an authorised provider and peer-reviewed. The Scottish Government sees it as the long-term replacement for relying on EWS1 forms.
