Client Money Protection T&Cs
Landlord Referral Scheme
The terms below apply to the £250 landlord referral offer promoted at yateshellier.com/refer-a-landlord.
- The scheme is open to anyone aged 18 or over, other than employees, directors and contractors of Yates Hellier Estate Agents, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
- A referral is only valid where the landlord is not already a client of Yates Hellier Estate Agents and was not already an active prospect on our records when the referral was received. Where the same landlord is referred by more than one person, the first valid referral we receive will be the one recognised.
- By submitting a referral you confirm that you are content for us to tell the landlord that you passed their details to us, and that you have a reasonable basis for sharing their contact details with us. Information submitted through the referral form is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
- We aim to contact the referred landlord within one working day of receiving the referral. Working days exclude weekends and public holidays.
- A payment of £250 is made for each property brought under Yates Hellier management as a result of a valid referral. Where a landlord places more than one property with us, £250 is payable on each property.
- Payment becomes due once the management agreement has been signed, the property is tenanted and the first month’s rent has been received. No payment is due if the landlord withdraws, the property is taken out of our management, or the tenancy does not proceed before that point.
- Payment is made by bank transfer within 30 days of becoming due, once the person who made the referral has provided the details we need in order to make it.
- Payments are made gross. Any tax due on a referral payment is the responsibility of the person who receives it.
- The £250 payment cannot be exchanged for an alternative and cannot be combined with any other Yates Hellier introduction or referral offer.
- Yates Hellier Estate Agents may amend or withdraw the scheme at any time. Valid referrals received before a change or withdrawal takes effect will be honoured on the terms that applied when they were submitted.
- Yates Hellier Estate Agents will decide, acting reasonably, whether a referral qualifies under these terms. Any question about a referral should be sent to [email protected].
Governing Law and Venue
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Yates Hellier Estate Agents, without regard to its conflicts of law principles. You hereby submit to and agree that the sole jurisdiction and venue for any actions that may arise under or in relation to the subject matter hereof shall be the courts located in Scotland.
