We’re delighted to be one of the first Glasgow Letting Agents to have our Scottish Letting Agent Registration approved for another 3 years.

As of 1st October 2018, it is illegal for Scottish Letting Agents to trade unless they have registered with the Scottish Government’s Letting Agent Register. It was introduced to drive up standards in the industry.

The Scottish Letting Agent Register offers reassurances that any registered agent has been thoroughly vetted by the Scottish Government. The checks review previous experience, CPD logs, industry specific qualifications, Client Money Protection insurances and that the agent has a ring-fenced client bank account.

Yates Hellier are a letting agency who are direct and simple to deal with. 95% of the issues we have raised have been dealt with promptly, as they send over a workman to fix the problem.They do regular inspections ensuring the flat is in good condition, but also as an oppurtunity for us to raise issues. occasionaly things we have mentioned in person have fallen through the cracks, but mostly dealt with when reminded in an email.

I had an excellent experience of both the sale and letting of my property with Yates Hellier.I decided to sell the property after the rental. It had been left in immaculate condition. The marketing material, photos and video they produced were incredibly professional so i decided to talk to Yates Hellier about selling my property. I had previously got in the market leader in Glasgow to give me an estimate. I decided to take a chance on Yates Hellier as I liked everything about them- A young vibrant team and image who are friendly and knowledgable. I didn't feel like i was being lied to or forced into anything to get the sale, as i did with the other company.Ross and his team lined up 37 viewings in the very short time it was on the market. He held to his promise that he would get the very best price for my property. The offer way exceeded my expectation. We even decided to go for offer no 2 as the purchaser's were chain free and in a better position than the first offer. This was all driven by recommendation and the diligence relayed around each prospective buyers circumstance was exceptional.Having very successfully got the deal over the line, I half expected something to go wrong prior to the moving stage. Ross Yates came to our home to do a valuation on it as one of what we had planned as a number of valuations when considering putting our home on the market last year. (He had showed us around one of his properties we had put an offer on, and we were taken by his open and friendly manner that didn’t come with the hard sell that can often happen with estate agents.) After meeting with Ross and listening to his honest, considered and straightforward valuation and what we might wish to consider doing that might improve on it, we decided not to bother with other valuations and stuck with Ross and Yates Helier. Ross managed all the viewings, was very helpful and supportive and gave great advice throughout. Without any hesitation if we decided to move again we would be calling Ross and would suggest to anyone we knew who was considering selling to contact Ross at Yates Helier to hear what he has to say.
